ADVOCACY
The Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics maintains relationships with Tennessee's legislative and executive branches. TNAAP's lobbying presence on "the Hill" assures that the interests of children and pediatricians are protected in vital areas such as injury prevention, TennCare reform and school-related issues. Members are invited to spend time on Capitol Hill with our lobbyist, who also regularly trains pediatric residents to be legislative advocates as part of thier advocacy rotation.
