TENNESSEE ANNUAL PEDIATRIC SUMMIT (TAPS)

The 10th Annual Pediatric Practice Managers' Network Conference (PMN) will take place Friday, July 20, 2012, and creates the opportunity for Practice Managers and Office Staff to connect with a professional network of colleagues to discuss crucial management issues, share pertinent experiences, increase knowledge, and improve their management skills in order to strengthen the practices in which they work. The PMN has proven to be an extremely valuable benefit to TNAAP members as they are able to allow their Practice Managers to spend one day surrounded by industry partners, fellow Practice Managers from across the state and expert speakers. Practice Managers return with an immense amount of knowledge and up-to date procedures that they are able to easily implement into the future success of the practice.

On the evening of July 20, 2012, the chapter will hold The TNAAP Annual Awards Gala at an off-site location. This event honors Pediatricians and community members who have made exceptional contributions to children's health advocacy in Tennessee. The event also serves as a benefit for the Tennessee Pediatric Society Foundation whose mission is to promote innovative programs to improve the health, safety, and well-being of Tennessee’s children. In addition to a ceremony to honor the award recipients, this cocktail event will include dinner and live entertainment.

A Pediatric Provider Education Program for pediatric physicians and sub-specialists will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012. This program will include an agency services forum over lunch. The individual sessions are currently under development – stay tuned for more information!

The TPSF Board Meeting will take place Friday July 20th at 3:30pm and the TNAAP Board Meeting will be Saturday July 21, 2012, at 3:00pm. Additional information will be available on our website and in our E-Newsletter, but please Save the Date for the Tennessee Annual Pediatric Summit (TAPS) July 20 – 21, 2012, at the Hilton Hotel in Knoxville, TN.
